Job description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Circulating Nurse/ OR Coordinator at MIRACLE HILLS SURGERY CENTER in Omaha, NE. The Circulating nurse performs the primary functions of a RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the Operating Room while coordinating with both the surgeon and anesthesiologist. The OR Coordinator is responsible for organizing and maintaining daily OR operations including patient flow, equipment management, and patient safety protocols.
Requirements / Qualifications:
– Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Nebraska, and Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required;
– At least one year of prior experience in an OR setting, with demonstrated proficiency in circulating key surgical specialties.
– Prior managerial or supervisory experience is not required but the position requires strong leadership skills.
– Thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control procedures;
– Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
– Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment;
– A team player who is flexible in work assignments;
– Able to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner;
– Willing to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to handle tense situations professionally and calmly.
